Lola Accessory Boutique celebrated anniversary and Animal Rights Awareness Week
Lola Accessory Boutique, a destination shop at 454 Broadway for chic fashion accessories, celebrated its one-year anniversary this summer.
Lola, which launched a bridal collection
shortly after opening, features trend items such as scarves, hats, hair
accessories, jewelry, handbags, sunglasses and small leather goods. With an
average price point of $45, Lola also carries Kate Spade, Gorjana, Echo Design
and many other private labels. The store won a 2014 Saratoga Fab Five Award in
two categories: top gift shops and accessories shops.
“I’m so thankful for the local businesses and community members who have supported me in this journey,” said Lola owner Megan Druckman, who spent seven years as an executive at Bloomingdale’s in New York City before returning to open Lola in the Capital Region where she grew up.
In honor of Animal Rights Awareness Week in June and of Lola's mascot, Charlie, a portion of the anniversary party proceeds were donated
to Saratoga-based Homes for Orphaned Pets Exist. Druckman rescued Charlie, a Cavalier
King Charles spaniel, in 2011.
“It’s rewarding to celebrate a fantastic first year while also giving back to an organization that does so much for our animal community,” she said.
