Saratoga retina specialist sees first patient in new state-of-the-art facility
The Malta
Professional Building construction on the corner of Route 9 and
Malta
Avenue is now complete, with the new office of area retina specialist Dr. Amjad
Hammad. His practice, Saratoga Vitreo-Retinal Ophthalmology, officially opened its
doors to the first patient May 19.
The
4,600-square-foot ophthalmology center is state-of-the-art and has more than
doubled the capacity of care the office is able to provide the community.
Hammad
said, "We have worked diligently since 2007 to create a retinal eye-care
center that incorporates a full range of services. Whether patients need management
of hereditary eye diseases, diagnosis and treatment of diabetic retinopathy,
care for age-related macular degeneration or surgery, we have the experience
and skilled staff to provide personalized, compassionate and quality care right
here in our facility.”
The
doctor is an internationally recognized retina specialist who also treats patients
with retinal detachment and macular edema. He strives to educate his patients
about their ocular diseases and treatment process.
"We
look forward to continuing to provide a high level of service to our community,"
Hammad said. "Patients visiting us for the first time routinely comment about
the convenience and the good customer-service approach we offer.”
