Dr. Jeffrey Ridha buys Sanctuary Spa of Saratoga Springs
Dr.
Jeffrey Ridha, a Saratoga Springs plastic surgeon who owns the practice Jeffrey
Ridha, M.D., P.C. at 83 Railroad Place in Saratoga has bought Sanctuary Spa of
Saratoga Springs from registered nurse Debra Docyk, who is retiring.
This
eight-year-old full-service medical spa at 72 Railroad Place is considered one
of the most popular in the Capital Region, having been voted Best Spa in the Saratogian’s
Read Choice Awards for six consecutive years. The spa features services that
range from medically advanced aesthetic treatments such as Botox, laser skin
rejuvenation and cellulite reduction to rejuvenating massages and
facials.
“We are
so excited to add this well-loved and successful spa to our portfolio,” Ridha said.
“This merger will let both practices expand the scope of services available to
our patients and clients, and will help create one of the largest combined spa
and medical practices of our region.”
Docyk
said, “The future bodes well for Dr. Ridha. With the aging of the
baby boomers and the exponential growth of Saratoga County, the demand for our
services has been overwhelming.”
ThielGroup
of Latham was the selling broker and advisor in the sale of Sanctuary Spa of
Saratoga Springs. This business-consulting, sales and valuation firm helps owners
sell their concerns, counsels buyers to find and analyze business
opportunities, and helps owners understand the values of their companies.
Kathlene
Thiel MBA, a Certified Business Intermediary at ThielGroup, said, “The
International Spa Association estimates that the number of annual customer spa
visits has doubled during the past 15 years.”
And it’s
not just women any more. She cited a recent PricewaterhouseCoopers survey,
which found that men now represent nearly half of the spa-going population in
the United States.
