Alfio Bonacio Sr., father of Laura, Sonny, and Tony died Wed., Oct. 3, 2012 at Saratoga Hospital. He was 72.  Born at Columbus Hospital in New York City on February 27, 1940, Bonacio attended Seward Park High School, graduating in 1957. In 1962, while working at a bakery in New York, he met his future wife, Linda Tychostup. They were married June 16, 1963 in New York City. The couple moved to Saratoga Springs to run Linda Bonacio’s great-grandfather’s business, National Window Cleaning. They raised their three children here.

The couple later opened Bonacio Real Estate. Their two sons now run Bonacio Construction, which has many building projects in the capital region.
