Greetings!

The cool weather might be settling in on us but Troy is getting ready for another busy holiday season. We are rolling out our Dine-Shop-Explore downtown campaign, perhaps you saw our highway takeover and our beautiful digital billboards promoting our amazing downtown district. Keep your eyes open for another set of billboards this month and lots of exposure in our regional magazines.

You've got plenty of chances to come visit in November with the Turkey Trot (Nov. 26), small business Saturday (Nov. 28), the Troy Waterfront Farmers Market in the Atrium (every Saturday), and another fantastic Troy Night out (Nov. 27).

Save the date for our 4th Annual Dinner and Sammy Awards on Dec. 2 from 5 PM to 8:30 PM at the Franklin Plaza. It's a great opportunity to network with our downtown neighbors as we celebrate the people and organizations who help make Troy a great place to live, work, study, and play. See who is being honored this year and come celebrate with us!

Thanks for all of your support all year long for Troy!

279 River Street
Two Ring Circus is open for business. Owner Irena Shein says that "her love of fashion started early on in Kiev, Ukraine where she was born". Irena worked in NYC in the luxury goods industry where she had the opportunity to work along  some of the most amazing fashion icons for men, women and children.  After her and her family relocated to the Capital District her passion for a stylishly dressed kid and her dream of owning a children's boutique developed into her opening Two Ring Circus in downtown Troy.

225 River Street
Sentinel Butchery held it's Grand Opening on October 29th at 255 River Street. Emily Petersen, the mastermind behind the butchery says "she chose Troy for several reasons. The city is full of charm and history. The architecture is stunning and the efforts to restore and preserve it is impressive. Troy has revitalized itself organically and it shows in the art, culture and food." The mission of the shop is simple as Emily says "to connect our community to their food sources." The opening of Sentinel Butchery is yet another great addition to River Street and the whole capital district.

River Street
So far this year alone, six new business have made their homes on River Street. Troy Grooming Co, Crooked Canvas, Sentinel Butchery, Two Ring Circus, Lux Comfort and Health, and Karma Hair Salon have all opened their doors on River Street this year. We are ecstatic that so many entrepreneurs from all over are choosing Troy as their home. For so many of these business owners, owning a place of their own has been a dream for so long, and we are so thankful that they have chosen Troy to make that dream come true. We hope that the growth on River Street so far this year continues for many years to come.
