Showing off new facility
Capital
Region Dunkin’ Donuts franchise partner The Burke Companies will
showcase its new regional bakery, restaurant and corporate headquarters
nine months after its
former facility on the same site was destroyed by fire during the
holidays.
The event will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17 at the Dunkin' Donuts at 509 Rute 67 in Malta.
Among those scheduled to take part in the event are Jerry Burke, who is principal of The Burke Companies, and Todd Shimkus, president of the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce.
The new, two-story building is 14,000 square feet – more than double the size of the former facility – and supplies baked goods for nearly two dozen Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants owned by The Burke Companies in Saratoga and Warren counties.
After the fire, The Burke Company Companies offered positions at its other Dunkin’ Donuts locations to all employees affected by the fire. However, now many of those same employees are back to work at the new bakery and restaurant.
