The Saratoga Closet, a mid- to upper-end consignment shop, has opened at 38 Van Dam St.

The store will carry brands such as J.Crew; Banana Republic; and higher-end brands such as Gucci, Prada and Miu Miu. The Saratoga Closet also has authentic handbags and shoes.

Shoppers will find casual dresses and clothing, fancy dresses and a selection of bridal gowns. The Saratoga Closet’s sister store is the full Glens Falls bridal salon, the Bride and Gown, which offers more than 900 discounted top- designer bridal gowns.

At its website, www.thesaratogacloset.com, the Saratoga Closet wrote, “We have a lot of fun here, which means our employees are happy. And we cost less than the other guys.”
