·        Saratoga Farmers Market has been named the number 1 favorite market in New York State in an online contest run by American Farmland Trust. The market beat out another local concern, the Schenectady Greenmarket, as well as other markets statewide such as the Ithaca and Rochester farmers’ markets. The Saratoga Springs market won the same distinction in last year’s contest. Saratoga Farmers Market was also ranked the 11th favorite medium-size market in the country. The outdoor market will be open at the High Rock Park Pavilions through the end of October, on Wednesdays from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Starting in November, the market moves indoors and will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays at Division Street Elementary School.
