New childcare center coming to Malta
Maple Leaf Childcare Center continues to expand into
locations around the capital region. Owners John and Linda Moran are now building
a new $3.5 million center in Malta, planning to take in
the overflow from their current Parade Ground Village site there, and create a
unique place for children to learn and explore."Our fifth center will hold 212
kids," said Linda Moran. "It’s in a perfect location in Malta, with lots of land and
trees.”
The
new childcare center is going up on the former site of Dean’s Antiques, three
acres at 2737 Route 9. At 16,000 square feet, the building will be more than
double the size of the first Malta center, and will offer
many new spaces for teachers and students. Among these are a library, an indoor
gym, a resource room, a covered pavilion, and even a mother’s nursing room.
Construction has begun, and the Morans anticipate completion in April 2013.
They have started a wait list for the new center. Please call them
at 899-4159.
