Fresh seafood is coming to Lake Ave. starting next week, as Rick Lofstad Jr. of Pura Vida Fisheries opens his seafood market Wed., Sept. 12. He has bought the former Pepper’s Market and Deli, and plans to sell a variety of fish, from familiar flounder, salmon, and shrimp to more adventurous fare such as scup, shiners, and conger eel.

"This is the freshest you can get," he says. "It comes from the sea to the store, as quickly as possible. We're selling preseasoned fish, ready to put on the grill for dinner that night. I'm looking forward to being in Saratoga, helping people eat healthier."
