Recovery Sports Grill Opens in Malta
The new Recovery Sports Grill in Malta opened Tues., Sept. 11 at 4 p.m. This new location is the Albany-based restaurant group’s sixth owned-and-operated property in the Capital Region, and ninth overall.
Located at 2537 Route 9 in the same building as SEFCU and sharing the parking lot with CVS, the 5,500-square-foot restaurant continues the group’s trend of combining fresh, handmade, casual American fare with an energetic sports atmosphere. Like other Recovery Sports Grill locations, Malta features over 30 high-definition TVs—including a number of 80- and 70-inch screens—with Soundog tabletop speaker boxes, offering a multitude of sports on each daily. Additionally, there is an outdoor patio and a small arcade area, emphasizing the restaurant’s family-friendly atmosphere.
Décor is tied in with local sports teams and high school teams, giving fans of Ballston Spa, Burnt Hills/Ballston Lake, Mechanicville, Saratoga, Saratoga Catholic, Schuylerville, Shenendehowa, Stillwater, and Waterford/Halfmoon something to cheer about.
In addition to the Malta locale, the Recovery Sports Grill plans to open three more restaurants by January 2013. They include locations at Upper Glen Street in Queensbury, Western Avenue at the former 20 Mall in Guilderland, and Kanawha Boulevard in downtown Charleston, W.V.
The Recovery Sports Grill group was founded in 2007 as the Recovery Room Sports Grill: a single location across from the Albany Medical Center. The independently owned and operated company is a division of the Albany-based BBL Hospitality and BBL Family of Companies. By early 2013, the Recovery Sports Grill will own and operate 12 restaurants throughout New York, New Jersey, Virginia, and West Virginia.
