Here's a great opportunity to adopt a pet.

Benson’s Pet Center is announcing its 5th annual Family Pet Fair and Adoption Day on Sunday, Sept. 23,  at 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Any owners adopting dogs at the fair will go home with a $50 Benson’s Pet Center gift card. People adopting cats will receive $25.

A raffle will help raise money for the rescue groups with which the center works. Raffle prizes include a year's supply of pet food. Red Cottage Photography will be there to take pictures of people and their pets, and owners can take home a magnet. Hot dogs, doggie games, and a clown who does face painting will also be part of the event.

All proceeds will go to the rescue groups in attendance: Animal Support Project, F.A.C.T, Forever Home Greyhound, Hope Animal Rescues, Orange Street Cats, Out of the Pits, Rottie Empire Rescue, and Senior Animal Medical Aid Fund.
