Downtown Troy to showcase 15 unique commercial properties for lease




TROY — On Tuesday, May 19 from 9 AM to 11 AM, the Downtown Troy Business Improvement’s Business Development and Retention Committee will hold its annual For Rent Event, an open house of available commercial properties.

“We welcome any and all who are interested in finding the perfect space to house their dream business,” said Erin Pihlaja, executive director of the Downtown Troy BID. “Guests can take the Troy trolley tour with city of Troy Economic Development Coordinator Monica Kurzejeski, or pick up a map and browse around the district.”

There are 15 properties being shown, many with a lot of history added Pihlaja. “Some of these properties are jaw dropping, like 38 Third St. with its hardwood floors, balcony, and 18-inch tin ceilings.”

Guests who are interested in the trolley tour can meet at the BID offices at 251 River St. at 8:45 AM. Volunteers will be at the offices to assist visitors on the tour, and maps will be available for those who want to explore on their own.

Properties being shown include:

  • 1576 square feet at 279 River St., The Dauchy Building
  • 1573 square feet at 17 First St., includes fireplace, bank vault and more
  • 1310 square feet at 274 River St., turnkey business for sale
  • Two floors totaling 4,600 square feet at 38 Third St., sunny, balcony, hardwood floors, tin ceilings
  • 41,669 square feet total property at 1801 6th Ave., ample on-site parking included in base rent
  • 1100 square feet at 117 Fourth St., possible turnkey business with flexible contract
