2015-2016 Sunmark Federal Credit Union Board of Directors and Officers Announced



Latham - Sunmark Federal Credit Union has announced the 2015-2016 Board of Directors, elected at their annual meeting on May 6.

Directors who were elected to three-year terms are:

Ralph LeBarron, a credit union member for 41 years (27 ½ years Watervliet Arsenal Federal Credit Union prior to the 2000 merger with Sunmark and 13 ½ years with Sunmark). He is a US Navy Vietnam Veteran and a retired Watervliet Arsenal/Benet Laboratories employee. He has extensive experience in Project Management and Finance. LeBarron has been on Sunmark’s Board of Directors since 2000. 

Edward Aidala, a Sunmark member for 6 years, works as Treasury & State and Local Tax Manager of Trans World Entertainment Corporation.  He has extensive experience in the field of finance.  Aidala has been on Sunmark’s Board of Directors since 2012.
Dawn Doherty, a Sunmark member for 27 years, works as a Senior Tax Manager of Albany International Corporation. Her areas of expertise are taxation, accounting, and auditing of business enterprises of varied industries and business profiles.  Doherty has been an Associate Board Member since 2013 and is currently a member of the Supervisory Committee.

Amy Johnson was appointed to complete the unexpired term of former Board member Dara Shareef. 

Amy Johnson has been a Sunmark member for more than 15 years.  She is the owner and President/CEO of Capstone Inc.  Her areas of expertise include human resources, business consulting, investing, leadership training and board policy.  Johnson previously served on Sunmark’s Board of Directors from 2012 to 2015.

These newly elected and appointed Directors join current Board members: Tony Cardona, Dan Heim, Kristen Myers, Parker Powell, and Tom Sansone. 

Sunmark’s Executive Committee include Edward Aidala, Board Chair; Dawn Doherty, Board Vice-Chair; Ralph LeBarron, Treasurer and Kristen Myers, Secretary.
