TROY – GreyCastle Security, a leading provider of cybersecurity consulting services, welcomes Brendan G. Schaefer as security specialist and Matthew Farry as associate security specialist to its growing team of industry experts.

Brendan Schaefer’s experience includes higher education and accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM). Schaefer’s most notable work was with the SUNY System Administration where he was the audit manager. His expertise ranges from analysis and audit to vulnerability assessment and policy development.

Schaefer received an MBA in Accounting from Union Graduate College and is a native of Clifton Park.

Matthew Farry began his career in the United States Coast Guard as an avionics electrical technician. While serving in the Coast Guard, he gained effective physical system troubleshooting and repair experience, and progressed to work with sensitive information systems where he developed an interest in cybersecurity. He has proficiency in NIST 800-53, education and training, information system troubleshooting and repair.

Farry earned a Specialization Certificate through the University of Maryland, College Park’s Cybersecurity program. He resides in Saratoga Springs.
