Dinosaur Bar-B-Que Will Host a Memorial Day Weekend Fundraiser for Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation

Troy   Dinosaur Bar-B-Que  will be hosting a Memorial Day Weekend fundraiser to benefit Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation, whose mission is to provide college scholarships and educational counseling to military children who have lost a parent in the line of duty.

From Sunday, May 24th through Monday, May 25th, Dinosaur Bar-B-Que will be donating 10% of food sales to Fallen Patriots.  For restaurant patrons who cannot attend but still want to donate, may do so on Dinosaur Bar-B-Que’s website store at www.dinobbq.com.  Any merchandise purchased (excluding gift cards) will also benefit the Fallen Patriots.

“We are so appreciative of this partnership with Dinosaur Bar-B-Que,“ said Cynthia Kim, Volunteer Programs Directorfor Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation. “It's an honor to be connected to such a wonderful restaurant, and we are grateful for their support and help to build awareness of Children of Fallen Patriots in the communities that Dinosaur Bar-B-Que serves.

“This is a very rewarding opportunity for us to give back,” explains Rene de la Garrigue, Dinosaur Bar-B-Que CEO.  “Memorial Day Weekend seemed like an ideal time for us to partner with the Fallen Patriots.  Hopefully our involvement will inspire other businesses like ours to also provide financial support to our country’s military families.   It is an honor to help support these young men and women.”

About Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation
Headquartered in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation's mission is to provide college scholarships and educational counseling to military children who have lost a parent in the line of duty. This includes casualties both before and after 9/11/2001. The organization’s vision is to ensure education to all such children by bridging the gap between existing sources of grants and scholarships and the total cost of college. Fallen Patriots has over 5,600 children currently identified, but it is estimated that there are over 14,000 more children who deserve their assistance.  With help through financial support, volunteering, or spreading their message, Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation’s mission will be a success.

If you are a child who has lost a parent in the line of duty, or if you have a child and have lost a spouse in the line of duty, contact Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation at 866-917-2373 for more information.

About Dinosaur Bar-B-Que
In 1988, after years of cooking on the road for motorcycle shows, fairs, and festivals up and down the East Coast, Pit Master John Stage founded Dinosaur Bar-B-Que in Syracuse, New York.  Since then, he has opened eight more restaurants in Rochester, Harlem, Troy, Newark, Stamford, Brooklyn, Buffalo and Chicago and is set to open Baltimore later this year.  The Dino brand, known for its “finger-licking good custom ‘que” and live music, has evolved to include a catering division complete with mobile barbeque rigs, a line of sauces and rubs and a cookbook, Dinosaur Bar-B-Que: An American Roadhouse. Stage has built Dinosaur Bar-B-Que into a nationally known brand, exemplified when “Good Morning America” voted Dino the Best Barbecue in America in 2009, and Forbes named Dinosaur Bar-B-Que one of the “Top 10 BBQ Restaurants in the Country” in 2013.
