Maestros reopening
Maestros at the Van Dam reopens its doors at 5 p.m. on Friday Oct. 24 after having
been closed for two weeks of renovations. Owner Bill Donovan said, “While we did not make
major structural changes, we completely transformed our bar and dining rooms to a more
contemporary look and a more refreshing ambience. We listened carefully to what our guests
had to say about dining room noise levels, the comfort of our rest rooms and our overall
appearance when making decisions about this project. Interior Designer Robin Fusco has
created a warm and inviting space, where family and friends can gather and enjoy each other,
as well as some great food and drink.”
Donovan has instituted many more changes since he bought out his former partners in July. A
new logo is being revealed this week. Nick Adie, Donovan’s business partner at Harvey’s
Restaurant & Bar, will take over the reigns as General Manager of Maestro’s, while also serving
in that role at Harvey’s. Chef Danny Petrosino, formerly of Mio Posto, has been welcomed as
Executive Chef, assisted by Sous Chef Jonathan Quinn, former Banquet Manager at Taste in
Albany. “On Friday, we will be introducing our eagerly anticipated fall menu”, said Donovan. “I
think our guests will be very pleased to see Chef Danny has retained much of the core
Maestro’s menu they have enjoyed over the years with many of our classic dishes, while adding
some new and tantalizing entrees. He will enhance the Maestro’s experience with daily specials
from his deep culinary repertoire.”
Maestro’s is located in the historic Rip Van Dam building at 353 Broadway in Saratoga Springs,
New York. The restaurant is open daily, serving for lunch and dinner between 11:30 a.m. and
10:00 p.m. Happy hour is celebrated in the bar from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m., Monday through
Friday. Live entertainment is featured in the lounge on Thursday, Friday and Saturday
evenings. Dining reservations may be made by calling 518-580-0312.
