First Niagara Donates Suits to Troy YWCA, Clothes Available to All Rensselaer County Residents

First Niagara donated more than 100 suits to the free clothing boutique,
My Sister's Closet which is open free of charge to all Rensselaer County residents.
The boutique is located in the YWCA of the Greater Capital Region in Troy, at
21 First St.

First Niagara Bank donated a wide variety of clothes to the YWCA of
the Greater Capital Region, Inc. at 10 a.m. Tuesday. The First Niagara Employee Volunteer
Corps collected gently worn causal clothing for women and children during
the past month.

“First Niagara is always looking for opportunities to give back to our
communities,” said First Niagara Eastern New York Market Executive,
Kelli Arnold. “The YWCA-GCR does great things for a very important
cause. We are happy to support their mission.”

“The YWCA-GCR is very grateful for these wonderful donations and First
Niagara’s spirit of giving back to their communities,” said Executive
Director, Daquetta Jones. “This opportunity came about at a Ronald
McDonald House Charity Foundation’s June Award Ceremony, which
gave the YWCA-GCR the opportunity to share with the audience who we
are and what we do! Well, First Niagara Bank wanted to contribute to My
Sister's Closet. You never know what business functions, networking
events, and or being at the right place at the right time can lead to—this
opportunity led to a community focused bank giving back to a community
organization. We sincerely thank First Niagara Bank for their support and
contribution.”
