The Saratoga-Adirondack Job Service Employer Committee offers breakfast seminar
The
Saratoga-Adirondack Job Service Employer Committee (JSEC) is offering a breakfast seminar, Interviewing Techniques to Help Lead to Successful
Hires, Thursday,
Feb, 7 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Longfellows
Restaurant, 500 Union Ave.
James E. Marco, Jr., president and principal consultant for Saratoga Human
Resources Solutions, will speak.
This seminar is meant to be a practical and
fun look at the candidate interview and selection process. Marco will cover the legal environment,
legal pitfalls during interviews, and specific skills needed to select and retain the right candidate.
The $5-per-person cost for the program, which includes coffee, juice, fresh fruit and muffins, goes directly into a scholarship fund for BOCES students
living in Saratoga, Warren and Washington counties who are continuing their
education beyond high school. An
all-volunteer steering committee coordinates the seminar topics and the scholarship
program. Longfellow’s
owner, Steve Sullivan, donates the space and the meal in
support of this scholarship program.
JSEC is a joint project of
the New York State Department of Labor and employers in Saratoga, Warren and
Washington Counties. The committee offers
breakfast seminars every other month on topics of interest to business owners
and human resource professionals.
