Celebrate Mardi Gras at Hattie’s
Hattie’s Restaurant of 45 Phila Street will go
right to its roots during a Fat Tuesday Mardi Gras party in its French Quarter
Lounge. The festivities start at 5 p.m. Feb. 12 and will
feature half-price hurricanes, beer specials, complimentary Mardi Gras appetizers
(at the bar only), and beads and masks for everyone. The regular dinner menu is
also available that evening. No reservations are necessary.
Hattie's Restaurant has been a Saratoga Springs landmark since 1938,
serving Southern and Louisiana cuisine including
Hattie's famous Southern fried chicken, jambalaya, Jasper’s Mac and Cheese, and
other daily specials. Hattie’s is also the winner of the Fried Chicken
Throwdown with Bobby Flay as seen on the Food Network. The restaurant was
recently named Best Fried Chicken in the USA by “Food and Wine.” The
charitable legacy of founder Hattie Grey continues today with owners and staff
donating time, effort and food to raise money for several charities throughout
the Capital Region. The annual Mardi Gras event has raised more than $350,000
for various not-for-profits in Saratoga County.
