AIM Services Inc of Saratoga announces merger

In efforts to expand supports and services offered to Individuals with developmental and other
disabilities, and secure the future of those services currently provided, AIM Services Inc. and
Battenkill Community Services Inc. (BCS) are pleased to announce our forthcoming merger,
scheduled to take place officially in October 2016.  The Agency will operate as AIM Services,
Inc. and a number of board members from BCS will join the AIM Board of Directors.  AIM’s
executive management will remain in place over the merged agencies.

The merger is designed to increase the number of individuals supported in Washington County
and eastern New York as well as afford greater access to a broader array of services. The merger
is the result of AIM’s strategic plan of measured growth and continued diversification into
community based supports.

“The winners are those individuals with disabilities and their families in Eastern NY looking for
additional, comprehensive services,” commented AIM’s Executive Director June MacClelland.

BCS shares the same values and mission that we do, to help individuals with disabilities reach
the full power of their potential.”

AIM’s Board President, Martin Glastetter stated, “This merger will not only strengthen our
programs but will also have a positive economic impact in the area. A number of our programs
support and create employment opportunities for people with disabilities every day. This benefits
not only the people we support but also the private and public sector. A larger organization will
mean our combined Direct Support staff will benefit from even more and stronger career
opportunities.

“We had reached our capacity given our current resources,” stated BCS Board Chair David
Holck, “Our Board felt it essential to engage proactively in a time of uncertainty in the field.

This merger will guarantee that those outstanding supports and services our individuals are
receiving will continue and expand.”

Formed in1979, AIM Services, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing residential
