Troy - Superior Merchandise Company, a specialty coffee bar and design shop in downtown Troy announced today the launch of their "Mini Bottle Shop," which will offer customers a small, curated selection of craft beers from brewers such as Mikkeller, To Øl and Omnipollo, among others.

According to SMCo. co-owner Mike Romig, "we want to expand Superior Merchandise Company's contribution to the amazing craft beer culture of Troy with a selection of great beers that our customers can enjoy at home, and that fits naturally with the philosophy we've applied toward our coffee and craft beer programs so far." Beers available will skew toward those from Scandinavian brewers in keeping with a common theme at the shop (SMCo. hosts a monthly event called "ScandinavianSaturday" during which coffees are brought in from the Nordic region and served in limited quantities) but the selection won't be limited to brewers hailing from that part of the world and will rotate frequently.

The bottle shop launches alongside the spring iteration of the coffee bar's seasonally changing specialty drink menu which features a "Coco-Malt Latte" crafted with coconut and malted milk as well as a rosewater-matcha latte and chamomile-hop soda. Said Romig's partner Felicity Jones, "whether you're enjoying a drink on our courtyard patio or taking it with you to enjoy elsewhere we're excited to bring these new offerings to Troy as spring reemerges and the buzz Downtown grows louder."
