We've just started one of the best seasons in upstate and we couldn't be happier!
Hope you all made it to our Restaurant and Craft Beer Week and our last Troy Night Out--it's been booming in downtown Troy!
Thanks again to all of our partners with our Downtown Banner Project, the banners look fantastic and are appearing all over our beautiful downtown streets. Welcome also to our newest yearly sponsor the Troy Local Development Corporation--more on that soon!
Mark your calendars for Chowder Fest (Oct. 11) and the Annual BID Dinner and Sammy Awards (Dec. 2). Both events are chock full of exciting changes and not to be missed!
Many of our downtown shops are already extending their hours in anticipation of the holiday season, take some time and explore downtown there is so much to be seen.
Tonight's Troy Night Out is catered towards all of our local students. Come downtown for a Fall evening of shopping, eating, and exploring all our city has to offer.

October TNO is all about Halloween! Come downtown in your costumes the last Friday of the month and enjoy a wonderful fall night while supporting local businesses. This month's Troy Night Out will also feature the Mystery & Mayhem Tour. Sign up before hand for an tour of Troy where you will learn about all the mysterious events that filled our history.

It's time! ChowderFest is right around the corner with some amazing new changes.This year the center of the festival will be in Monument Square. This is where the main ticket booth will be located, the live music, craft and food vendors, and some competitors. A second ticket booth will be located in the Green Island Bridge Parking Lot. This year participants will move throughout our city into all of the participating restaurants. ChowderFest will be full of free kid's activities, an abundance of different chowders, and fiery competition as the participating chefs lead their teams to victory. River Street along side the Troy Waterfront Farmer's Market The Troy Makers Market has come to an end for it's summer season although we are so pleased to announce that it will continue along with the Troy Waterfront Farmer's Market throughout the fall. In November the Troy Makers Market will move into the Atrium with the Troy Waterfront Farmers Market. To apply to vend at the Troy Maker's Market click here.

Sawtooth Jewelry Studio1915 5th Ave
Sawtooth Jewelry studio will be having its grand opening on October 30th! Maria Levin, owner and instructor has been a goldsmith in jewelry fabrication, repair and medals education for over 11 years. The Sawtooth Jewelry Studio is a metalsmithing classroom and will be offering classes and private lessons on how to create your own jewelry. The Christopher Brian Salon, now relocated on 90 4th Street, is officially opened! This salon is a great addition to Downtown, and especially the Proctor's Building. Two Ring Circus will open it's doors this month, on October, 17th at 279 River Street. Owner Irena Shein says that "her love of fashion started early on in Kiev, Ukraine where she was born". Irena worked in NYC in the luxury goods industry where she had the opportunity to work along some of the most amazing fashion icons for men, women and children. After her and her family relocated to the Capital District her passion for a stylishly dressed kid and her dream of owning a children's boutique developed into her opening Two Ring Circus in downtown Troy.

Heartspace Yoga
Enjoy a relaxing Friday night at Heartspace Yoga! When you bring a friend to a Friday night class, one of you comes for free. Come check out this amazing display of creative sculptures function as fantastic mechanical objects, fused with plausible scenarios and characters for free! Greg Skochko encourages viewers to participate in his performance, combining a child-like playfulness with serious cultural issues. This interactive and playful art show will be on display through October 10th.

At the Sage Bush Memorial on October 7th there will be a community conservation event from 6:00pm - 8:30pm. Through dialogue, and demonstrations they will identify the best practices to enhance respect and quality of interactions for people in Troy. There will also be small group discussions and short talks by several community members. Finally, there will be a call to action indicating options for people to take part in creating a more welcoming, inclusive and safer Troy as well as an invitation to join several community groups in order to build on the caus

The Tech Valley Center of Gravity opened its doors on Wednesday, August 19th at its new home in the Quackenbush Building. The CoG has been a wonderful addition to Troy, and their new space will enable all of the members to create even more creative products. The CoG allows its members the freedom and resources to bring their ideas to life, while sharing these ideas with others. The CoG inspires sharing, and team work to enhance the ideas of one person.
