Saratoga Springs Downtown Business Association announces 14th Annual Saratoga DBA Fall Festival
The Saratoga Springs Downtown Business
Association announces that the fourteenth annual Saratoga Springs Downtown
Business Association Fall Festival will take place on Saturday, October 31,
2015, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. The Downtown Business Association; Saratoga
Springs Special Assessment District; Adirondack Trust Co.; Advantage Press;
Explore Saratoga; Saratoga Strike Zone; Towne, Ryan and Partners, P.C. and
Saratoga.com are the major sponsors of this year’s event.
Also sponsoring some of the events are Cudney’s
Cleaners, Impressions of Saratoga, Lifestyles, Gaffney’s, Spoken Boutique, G.
Willikers, and Stewart’s Shops. The events would not be possible without the
support and participation from many Downtown Business Association members as
well.
The Fall Festival, a celebration of autumn and
Halloween, will kick off on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the City Center
where we will also be announcing the winner of our “Create Your Own Costume”
coloring contest.
The fun will continue all day Saturday
throughout downtown Saratoga Springs, including the pumpkin roll down Caroline
Street, a rock climbing wall, petting zoo and pony rides, pumpkin decorating, face
painting, balloon animals, traveling magicians, “Sparkles” the Tall Juggler, a
costume parade, clowns, fun photo booths, and amusing games and trick or treat
candy at many of the stores and restaurants.
The Collamer parking lot will have Dream Ponies
and a petting zoo from 11am until 3 pm. As well as the Rock Climbing Wall from
11am to 3pm! There will also be great music by Lifeline, Rich Bala, Seth &
The Moody Melix, Matthew Boyce an Elvis Tribute Artist, and Keller & Cannon
along other areas of Broadway.
Cudney’s Cleaners will have Pumpkin Bean Bag Toss, Halloween Magnet crafts, trick or treating and a “Coats for Kids” collection and distribution from 11am-3pm at the intersection of Broadway and Division Street, They are currently collecting coats at all of their locations to be distributed during the Fall Festival. There will be coats for both kids and adults.
There
will be coffee sack races at the Visitor’s Center as well as an interactive
drum group, Drum 2 Drum, where kids can learn about different instruments.
The
Fall Festival fun for kids concludes with an exciting Costume Parade starting
at 3:30pm at City Center (522 Broadway) and proceeds down Broadway, ends at the
Congress Park Carousel, and the Department of Public Works has donated their
time so all the kids can take a Carousel ride for free.
This unique Halloween Celebration encourages
families to have fun together, enjoying the hospitality of Saratoga Springs’ businesses and the great
spirit of the community.
The Downtown Business Association Fall Festival
is run by an all-volunteer committee and supported by the generosity of Saratoga’s businesses.
