Saratoga Brewing and DeCrescente Distributing Company Join Forces to Raise Awareness of Saratoga WarHorse
Local brewery and distributor partner to raise awareness of local nonprofit organization that assists veterans who are suffering from PTS, MST and PTSD
Mechanicville, NY – July 13, 2015 – Saratoga Brewing and DeCrescente Distributing Company have partnered to raise awareness of the Saratoga WarHorse Foundation. Saratoga WarHorse is a nonprofit organization assisting veterans who are suffering from invisible, psychological wounds by providing a confidential, peer-to-peer, action based, equine-assisted experience that initiates immediate and empowering changes.
“We are thrilled to partner with two local businesses that are committed to helping us raise awareness in support of military veterans,” said Katherine Pelham, Executive Director and President of Saratoga WarHorse.
Saratoga WarHorse offers veterans a three-day experience that has proven to be effective and invaluable for those struggling to adjust to life after military service. The program is provided at no cost to the veterans.
“Every day, 22 veterans commit suicide,” said Bob Nevins, Founder and Director of the Veteran Program at Saratoga WarHorse. “Our goal is to intervene and enable them to move forward with their lives.”
Saratoga Brewing and DeCrescente Distributing have put together a program to distribute coasters and pinups to local bars and restaurants in hopes of generating awareness and funds for Saratoga WarHorse between now and Labor Day. Consumers will be able to purchase these items at participating locations, with 100 percent of proceeds going directly to the foundation. In addition, Saratoga Brewing and DeCrescente Distributing will make a separate donation to the foundation in support of this important cause.
“We were immediately engaged by their mission,” said Max Oswald, General Manager of Saratoga Brewing. “And with track season right around the corner, we felt like this was the perfect time to generate a buzz about this wonderful organization and all that they do for our veterans.”
On Thursday, July 16th at 5:00pm there will be an official kick off party at the Saratoga Brewing Tap Room located at 131 Excelsior Ave in Saratoga Springs. Representatives from Saratoga WarHorse and DeCrescente Distributing will be on hand to distribute materials, while Saratoga Brewing will introduce their latest release, Raspberry Lime Kölsch. Food to be provided by local restaurants. All proceeds will be donated to Saratoga WarHorse.
