Stewart’s Holiday Match recently donated $2,500 to the Epilepsy Foundation of Northeastern New York.  For more than 30 years, the Foundation has offered programs and services at no cost to an estimated 45,000 people with epilepsy and their families living a 22-county service area that includes the North Country, Capital Region and the Upper Hudson Valley.

This donation allows the Foundation to fund its “Tara Kaminski Family Service Fund” that provides medical equipment such as wheelchairs, bath chairs and helmets for children with epilepsy whose families cannot afford them without assistance,  The Tara Fund also provides funds for prescription medications on an emergency basis.

In accepting this donation, EFNENY Executive Director Jeannine Garab said “We are very aware that Stewart’s Holiday Match receives over 1,500 requests each year from many worthwhile organizations in our region.  We are honored to be selected and take very seriously our responsibility to use these funds wisely in supporting children with epilepsy in northeastern New York.”
