GLENS FALLS — Daycare center It's A Kidz World, LLC, celebrated its move to a newly renovated building in the heart of downtown Glens Falls at 86 South Street with a with the Adirondack Regional Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting and reception on Thursday, March 26.


“Our new 52-child facility is only one block from the hospital, making it very convenient for parents working at the hospital to pick up or check on their children during the day,” said Audrey O'Neill, who owns the business with her husband, developer Tom O'Neill. “We chose this location due to its close proximity to Travelers and other businesses located in downtown Glens Falls. There is great parking for easy drop-off and pick up.”

The central location of the foyer allows parents to view the classrooms and watch their children interact with the teachers and with their peers, and allows Center Director Brittany Petteys to oversee and interact with the teachers and students.

There is a private fenced-in playground to be finished with blacktop, grass and picnic tables in the spring. “I believe that it is very important to have a strong staff that works well together to succeed in child care,” said Petteys, who has a master's degree in teacher leadership. “We are introducing an in-depth preschool curriculum that will prepare our preschool age children for Kindergarten.”
