The Circus Café Book Club held it’s March meeting in The Library of the Crown Grill

with a special guest in attendance. Robin Antalek, resident of Saratoga Springs and

author of the recently published The Grown Ups returned for her second visit to our club.

The Grown Ups is the story of teenage friends dealing with family dynamics and the

realities of growing up. Ms. Antalek is also the author of The Summer We Fell Apart, a

2010 release about a struggling and memorable family living in a small, suburban town.

A gifted writer and a gifted speaker, Ms. Antalek discussed her background, (she studied

at the New York State Writer’s Institute at State University of New York at Albany) her

writing process and both of her books. She entertained questions from the group and was

a valuable addition to this year’s meetings.

The Circus Café Book Club meets on the first Monday of every month except for July

and August.
