Clean Tech event for small businesses
The SUNY Polytechnic Institute's Colleges of Nanoscale Science and Engineering are pleased to present the Clean Tech Event on Wednesday, February 25, 2015. This event features four clean energy-focused events rolled into one!
Program*
The iCLEAN incubator was founded by the SUNY Polytechnic Institute and the Hudson Valley Center for Innovation in 2010. Funded primarily through the New York State Energy Research Development Authority and supported by the National Science Foundation, iCLEAN works with clean energy, nanotechnology, and biotechnology companies throughout New York, the Northeast, and the rest of the country. The iCLEAN Annual Meeting will introduce you to member companies and talk about the services provided and successes achieved. Panel: Government Grant Best Practices Does your organization struggle to receive government grants? SUNY Poly has assembled a team of experts from state and federal funding entities to talk about best practices and what can give your proposal an edge when it comes time to submit. Clean Tech Talk: Patent Prosecution-Looking for "Prior Art" Creating a successful business requires so much more than just a great idea. Albany Law School will lead the discussion into what constitutes prior art and how to protect your business--and yourself. New York Business Plan Competition (NYBPC) Informational Session The NYBPC has awarded over $1.3M in cash and prizes since its inception. Are you a college student with a great idea? Join the over 1,130 teams from across NYS that have participated in the competition since 2010. Attend this short overview of the competition and learn about the requirements, tracks and prizes for the Capital Region semifinal competition and the statewide finals. Join us for an overview of the iCLEAN companies, and participate in the interactive and informative panels and presentations on February 25. |
