Sage Students and Staff to Lobby for Student Aid
ALBANY & TROY, NY – More than forty students and staff from The Sage Colleges will take part in tomorrow’s New York Student Aid Alliance Advocacy Day at the state capital in Albany. Approximately 900 high school and college students, faculty and staff from almost 60 college and universities across New York state will lobby for student aid programs such as the Tuition Assistance Program (TAP), Grad TAP, the Arthur O. Eve Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP), the Science and Technology Entry programs (STEP/C-STEP), and the Liberty Partnerships Program (LPP).
More than 370,000 students depend on state student aid programs to achieve their college dreams. Over five million New York state students have received state aid to help meet their college expenses over the past four decades.
The New York Student Aid Alliance is a coalition of New York State public and private campuses, their students and stakeholder organizations who support funding vital student aid programs for students in New York State.
