Berkshire Bank Supports Local Food Banks, Makes Community Greener with eStatements
PITTSFIELD, MASS, February 6, 2015 –
Berkshire Bank, America’s Most Exciting
Bank®, announced today that its initiative to move customers from paper
statements to eStatements—in an effort to reduce their carbon
footprint—resulted in 1,099 customer conversions.
As a result of this campaign, Berkshire Bank Foundation is donating
$3,500 to local food banks—having previously pledged donations for every
account that converted to eStatements.
A secure and convenient way to stay organized while helping the environment
Similar to paper statements, Berkshire Bank eStatements are delivered regularly to each customer. An email message alerts the customer when their statement is available online. Not only does this reduce paper usage, it is a secure way to manage finances without the worry of disposing traditional statements through recycling and shredding.
