Knickerbocker Film Festival seeking submissions

SUBMISSIONS NOW BEING ACCEPTED FOR 2015 KNICKERBOCKER FILM FESTIVAL
Films selected to be presented as part of the sixth year of Upstate New York film festival

ALBANY, N.Y. (Jan. 6, 2015) --- The Knickerbocker Film Festival, now in its sixth year, is accepting submissions for its 2014 short film competition through March 6, 2015.

“This festival has become a tree with deep roots in our wonderful community. It keeps growing every year too, with the help of the talented filmmakers that submit and support what we are trying to build. This year is no exception. We expect more submissions, bigger audiences, and greater success with each festival,” said Kat Broadus, festival chair.

Short films can be up to 20 minutes in length and all genres are accepted. Filmmakers can submit their work either by mailing a DVD and a data disk of their film to Knickerbocker Film Festival, P.O. Box 3083, Albany, NY 12203 or by e-mailing a link to their film to info@knickfilmfestny.com.

There is no fee for submission. Selections will be made by the festival’s selection committee for presentation at the festival, slated for the spring of 2015. Screening locations and times will be announced in March.

The festival will look to expand to other locations within the Capital Region for screenings in 2015. In 2014, the festival expanded outside of Albany for the first time, with a screening at the Arts Center in Troy.
