Contract award to Saratoga firm
The New York Power Authority (NYPA) Board of Trustees on Dec. 16 approved a sole-source contract to Saratoga Sense Enterprise, based in Saratoga Springs.

Amount/Term: $135,000 for up to five years
Services: On-demand, 24/7 maintenance services for the proprietary safety and clearance
software system that allows NYPA employees to safely perform work on de-energized
equipment. The software was developed by Software Sense Enterprise beginning in 1998. The
contract provides for continued support of this specialized system, as well as continued
consulting and programming.
NYPA trustees regularly approve multiyear contract awards for a wide variety of goods and
services in support of the Power Authority’s generation, transmission and other facilities. The
awards are made in accordance with the Power Authority’s Guidelines for Procurement
Contracts.
