The Hot Yoga Spot Announces Third Capital Region Location

Latham, NY – The Hot Spot, the area’s premier yoga and fitness facility, is pleased to announce its newly acquired third Capital Region location. Owner Jessica Lustig recently purchased Hot Yoga Saratoga in Latham from its former owner, Cindy Lundsford.

The Hot Yoga Spot Latham will remain open to current and new students as it undergoes renovations and upgrades. The nearly 3500 square foot space opened two years ago and includes a large single studio, which can comfortably accommodate more than 50 students.

The Hot Yoga Spot Latham offers multiple restrooms and showers, separate changing areas for men and women, retail space and will soon offer Thai yoga massages and a private yoga session studio, both firsts for The Hot Yoga Spot. Lustig will modify the practice area to include a barre for fitness classes and will redesign the space, in keeping with the two other studios’ aesthetics.

Currently, the studio offers only one or two classes per day, but Lustig expects to more than triple that amount in the weeks to come. In addition to traditional yoga classes, the Hot Yoga Spot Latham will offer barre and weight fusion classes, Bikram and meditation sessions.

“It is such a privilege to bring The Hot Yoga Spot to Latham and to introduce more people to our amazing instructors and our style of hot yoga,” said Lustig. “We have partnered with so many amazing charities, schools and community focused groups in both our Albany and Clifton Park locations and I look forward to connecting with similar organizations in this area.”

The Hot Yoga Spot Latham will not only honor those with a current membership to the studio, but will lower the current prices to reflect the pricing structures at both the Stuyvesant Plaza and Village Plaza locations. Yoga apparel, mats and towels and a variety of cool refreshments will be available in the studio’s reception and retail area.
The Hot Yoga Spot’s three facilities all offer free classes for veterans and first responders and for those in addiction recovery and special sessions for student athletes. Lustig often hosts a number of fundraisers and by donation classes for various causes.

The Hot Yoga Spot Latham is the fourth studio Lustig has opened since December, 2010. The first location opened on Western Avenue and Fuller Road in Guilderland and in less than a year, Lustig relocated to the larger Stuyvesant Plaza space to better accommodate the hundreds of students visiting each day. In April, 2013, the Hot Yoga Spot opened its Clifton Park studio, which offers dozens of classes weekly.

The Hot Yoga Spot Latham is located at 7 Johnson Road. The terms of the purchase are confidential.
