Sperry's celebrates its first anniversary of new ownership with a garden party this Thursday & new brunch menu
SARATOGA SPRINGS — This Thursday, July 14, Christel and Colin MacLean will host a garden party at Sperry's Restaurant to celebrate their one-year anniversary of new ownership and to thank the community for their support.
Last year on July 14, the MacLeans hosted a kick off garden party to mark the start of Sperry's new ownership when they purchased the historic Caroline Street bistro from previous owner Ridge Qua.
The garden party starts at 5 p.m. and runs until 7 p.m. this Thursday outside on the patio at Sperry's on 30 Caroline Street. The event will features complimentary hors d'oeuvres by Chef Dale Miller and complimentary cocktails for guests.
While guests enjoy samples from the kitchen and sip some of Sperry's signature cocktails they can also enjoy live music in the courtyard by the local favorites the George Boone Blues Band.
Following the one-year anniversary celebration, owners Christel and Colin MacLean will fittingly unveil Sperry's new brunch menu starting this weekend on Saturday, July 16 and Sunday, July 17.
Starting this weekend, Sperry's will be serving up its scrumptious new brunch menu from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m on Saturdays and Sundays.
The relaxed-vibe menu will feature some of Chef Dale Miller's favorites including signature dishes like lemon ricotta pancakes and baked cinnamon pecan French toast with banana caramel sauce. Other mouth-watering brunch specials include eggs Benedict of the day and a Louisiana eggs scramble.
Guests enjoying Sperry's new brunch will also have the chance to enjoy a beverage from the new brunch cocktail list to accompany their meals.
The garden party and new brunch menu are the perfect complement to the gorgeous summer weather we've been having so be sure to get in early on Thursday for your happy hour and check back this weekend for brunch!

Nice ad.
Dear Anonymous,
Part of the In the Biz blog is to help promote local businesses and get the word out about events/entertainment going on in downtown Saratoga Springs. If a business is hosting something like the garden party that they are particularly proud of and sounds like something fun for community members then I will try to get as much info as I can, usually from a press release or speaking to the owners and get it on the blog so my readers know what's on in downtown business for the week. Some posts are more story centered especially when relating to a new business or a change in management, closing, etc. but others are more for the entertainment/what's on side. Since I took on the In the Biz blog I'm hoping to include a mix of both more in-depth stories as well as consistent updates about cool events in the area. I think this event is worthy of its own post and I believe the new owners of Sperry's have done a great job since acquiring the business last year. I did reach out to the owners for an interview, but they were in a meeting this morning - however, stay tuned for a more detailed story about Sperry's in the future!
Thanks for reading and for your feedback.
