Tour operators from China explore the Capital Region
International Markets Prepare for Upstate Travel
ALBANY, NY – The Albany County Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACCVB), along with other destination organizations throughout New York State, hosted a group of Chinese tour operators looking to develop New York State related itineraries and products for Chinese consumers this week.
Part of a three-region tour throughout upstate, the Albany portion of the experience allowed the tour operators to familiarize themselves with local attractions and experiences. During their time, they were able to visit Colonie Center, the Albany Pump Station, the New York State Capitol Building, downtown hotels including the Hilton Albany and the Hampton Inn, and Price Chopper’s Capital Holiday Lights in the Park.
The touring group consists of seven Chinese tour operators and three escorts that will interpret much of the journey. The Albany portion of the trip is one section of the tour that visits the Hudson Valley, Saratoga Springs, Washington County, and Catskills Regions.
