Berkshire Bank grows Wealth Management Team in Capital Region


Berkshire Bank, America’s Most Exciting Bank®, is excited to announce that Mary Ellen Cologero has been hired to the role of Senior Vice President, Senior Portfolio Manager.  In this position, Cologero will be responsible for developing and maintaining personalized client relationships, and focused on providing financial and investment guidance to high net worth families in the Albany, Hudson Valley and Metro New York.

Cologero will be based out of Berkshire’s regional headquarters at 41 State Street, Albany, New York and will be available to customers throughout the Capital Region.  She has more than 25 years of experience in the New York market working with clients to develop customized solutions addressing their investment, financial, trust, endowments and portfolio planning needs.

Prior to coming to Berkshire, Cologero worked for Key Private Bank most recently as a Senior Vice President, Senior Portfolio Manager and Market Leader with their Family Wealth Group.  She received a B.A. from the State University of New York at Albany in economics and business and has obtained a certificate from the School of Advanced Financial Management.  Cologero holds the CFP® designation from the College for Financial Planning, and is currently enrolled in the Certified Investment Manager Association (CIMA) program, provided through the Wharton School of Business.  She is a board member of Hospice Ulster/Dutchess County and Hope Fund.
