Schenectady, N.Y. – Ellis Medical Group announces the addition of surgeon Iftikhar Syed M.D.  Syed will practice at 1201 Nott St., Suite 104, Schenectady. 

Syed is a leading surgeon who has been serving the Schenectady community for several years.  He attended medical school at Liaquat Medical College in Jamshoro, Pakistan, and completed his residency at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Bridgeport, Conn. Syed is a medical specialist in the areas of minimally invasive surgery, colorectal surgery, general surgery, and oncologic surgery and is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. He is chief of the Surgical Department at Ellis.
