TIERRA COFFEE ROASTERS TO HOST THIRD ANNUAL THANKSGIVING FOR THOSE IN NEED ON THANKSGIVING DAY
Free, full Thanksgiving meal and beverages to be provided to residents in need
ALBANY, N.Y. (Nov. 24, 2014) — Tierra Coffee Roasters will provide a full, free Thanksgiving meal for those in need on Thanksgiving Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its Madison Avenue location (1038 Madison Avenue, Albany).
“We are thankful this time of year to be fortunate enough to provide for those in need of a warm place to celebrate and a warm meal,” said Darren Grout, CEO of Tierra Farm.
This is the third year that the café has provided free meals for the homeless on Thanksgiving. Employees of the Tierra Farm family of businesses, which includes Tierra Coffee Roasters, Tierra Farm, and the Madison Theater, will be volunteering to prepare and serve the meals.
“Tierra Coffee Roasters has made efforts like this for the past few years and each year, it gets better. It’s another great way for us to connect with our neighbors,” said Dan Laiosa, general manager and partner of Tierra Coffee Roasters.
“We hope we can bring happiness on a day when many people are unable to connect with family and friends. Tierra Farm is committed to helping others and supporting our local community,” said Gunther Fishgold, president of Tierra Farm.
