Sunmark Hosts Speed Savings Event

Unique event celebrates International Credit Union Day (October 16)

by teaching people ways to save money and to be financially savvy

WHAT:         Sunmark Federal Credit Union is hosting a unique event to help people save money in four key areas of life – all in 60 minutes or less.  At Sunmark’s Speed Savings Event, participants will sit down separately with four different financial experts for 10 to 15 minutes each.  The experts will review the participant’s loans, insurance, investments and more. Following the fourth meeting, a team of experts will review the participant’s current situation and offer them an action plan.

Participants were required to register in advance.   Registration is closed  because of popularity.

WHY:            International Credit Union Day (October 16) is an opportunity to highlight the credit union movement's history and celebrate its achievements. This year’s theme “Local Service, Global Good” emphasizes the credit unions’ impacts in their communities and around the world.  This is particularly poignant for Sunmark which has grown from a small credit union for the Schenectady GE Turbine department in 1937 to the third largest credit union in the Capital Region, serving 48,000+ members at ten branches located throughout the area.
