Local doctor David Gabay to serve as examiner for sports physician certification
Dr. David Gabay, a doctor of chiropractic
and a diplomate of the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians
(DACBSP) at 550 Maple Ave., has been invited to serve as an examiner
for the upcoming candidates taking that diplomate certification. The testing
will be held in conjunction with the 2014 Chiropractic Sports Science Symposium
held April 24-27 in Orlando.
The DACBSP designation is the highest
certification for chiropractors in sports injuries. The certification requires
300 additional hours of continuing education units, a written exam, a practical
exam, publishing in a peer review journal and experience working with sports
teams. This rigorous, demanding training typically takes three years to
complete.
Gabay is in his 32nd year practicing in
Saratoga, and has served two rotations with United States Olympic Teams, covering
wrestling, judo, weightlifting, bobsled, skeleton and luge.
Further information on the American
Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians Orlando seminar and programs are
available at www.acbsp.com/symposium.htm.
Reach Gabay’s office at 584-1008.
