Fingerpaint acquires Cotton Hill audio and video production firm

Fingerpaint, a strategic advertising agency in Saratoga Springs, has acquired Cotton Hill, an Albany company that provides full-service audio and video production. Cotton Hill has helped create sound and video for regional and national clientele across multiple industries, including education, banking, law, entertainment, healthcare and tourism.

“We wanted to strengthen our in-house television, radio and online video capabilities, and we found the perfect partner in Cotton Hill,” said Ed Mitzen, Fingerpaint’s founder and one of its four partners. “The staff there is expert at producing digital media and also has extensive experience in audio post-production.”

Mitzen said the purchase lets Fingerpaint serve clients in every aspect of broadcast and online content production.

Ray Rettig, Cotton Hill’s founder, said, “Fingerpaint’s goal of creating breakthrough work for its clients is a perfect fit for us. We’ve worked with Fingerpaint as a partner for years, and we’re looking forward to taking our clients’ work to an even higher level together.”

Cotton Hill will be rebranded as a Fingerpaint office. Its state-of-the-art studio, designed by renowned studio architect John Storyk, will remain in Albany. All Cotton Hill’s staff will join Fingerpaint, bringing the agency’s employee count to 82.

Employee-owned Fingerpaint is creative, experienced, energetic and inspired, committed to original thinking and uncommon collaboration. See fingerpaintmarketing.com.
