Russo’s Closes

Russo’s Restaurant, the Italian-American place that took over the former Brindisi’s 390 Broadway location, has shut its doors.

Owner/chef Joe Russo’s family has owned Russo's of Amsterdam for years, and he cooked there before starting his own Spa City restaurant with wife Lisa. The Russos ran their eatery for only about seven months, serving homemade sausage, eggplant parmesan, homemade bread, and tomato sauce, using family recipes dating back to 1920. The restaurant also featured a full bar and seasonal outside seating.

Dear Jennie: Please do not publish information regarding the restaurant unless you have permission. The restaurant did not close. We sold the business. It is not public information as of yet as to who the new owners are and what their plans are. If you need to speak to me directly, please contact me. Thank you, Joe Russo
