Downtown Troy happenings from the BID

Downtown Happenings March 2016
Greetings!

We've been busy here at the BID, getting ready for the upcoming summer season and to roll out a number of big projects that we've been working on.

It's never too late to get involved, check DowntownTroy.org for committee meetings and schedules and pop in to see what's happening.

This is a great time of year to reexamine your goals. Take a few minutes extra to do a walk through of your space starting from the outside and what your customers see. Are there things you could improve? Go back through last year's marketing plan. Did you reach the people you intended to? Did you get your message across the way you wanted to?

Feel free to bring your issues to the committee meetings for some peer advice and insight. That's what neighbors are for!

The second Annual Collar City Kilt Fest is happening this Saturday, come on out enjoy the sunshine!
Looking forward to good things,

Your Downtown Troy BID Staff

ICYMI: TNO10th Birthday!
Friday, February 26,5-9pm

This month was a huge success! In addition to our birthday we also celebrated the fact that it is the birth month of the famous Louis Comfort Tiffany. The BID partnered with the The Troy Public Library for a talk with P. Thomas Carroll, Senior Scholar and Treasurer, Hudson Mohawk Industrial Gateway, on Louis Comfort Tiffany and Charles Darwin. It was a great turnout!

Start getting ready for this month's TNO! March is Women's History Month and we're celebrating Troy's rich history of powerful, ground-breaking women. We will be partnering with the  Kate Mullany House to perform an excerpt from a play based on the life of Kate Mullany, who helped organize the Collar Laundry Union, the first female union in the country. We will be forwarding our establishments info on how to take part in some dramatic readings on location as well. Join us in celebrating Women's History Month as we showcase our many women business owners!

The Atrium, 4 3rd Street

Join us every Saturday morning in The Atrium alongside the Troy Waterfront Farmer's Market from 9:00 to 2:00! TheMakers Market is composed of artisans from across our region, selling their unique goods to the patrons of Troy. Come see what they have to offer.
