Troy Flea announces Kids Market

"Flea Jr." To Focus on Kids & Family Clothes, Items, Activities

TROY -- The popular Troy Flea will host a special kids themed "Flea Jr." market on Sunday Sept. 13 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

In addition to a wide selection of lightly used second hand clothing and toys, the riverfront market will feature carnival games, a bouncy bounce, candy, face painting and other kids' activities.

"'Flea Jr.' is for families who want quality clothes and toys but don't want to spend ridiculous amounts of money on items that their kids will quickly grow out of," said Jessica McEnaney, Troy Flea organizer. "We are very selective of our vendors, so these are really nice second hand items presented as new."

Those interested in vending at Flea Jr. or Troy Flea can call 518-331-5338 or email dangthatscherry@yahoo.com or visit: https://www.facebook.com/TroyFlea or http://TroyFlea.com

The fee to sell quality second-hand items for kids during Flea Jr. is $45.

In addition to one-time kids vendors, about two dozen regular Troy Flea vendors will be featuring vintage children's clothing, toys, vinyl and other special items during Flea Jr. Regular Troy Flea vendors are required to participate in at least four Sunday markets. The fee per Sunday market for regular vendors is $35.

Organized by Jessica McEnaney, 34,Troy Flea is a hip outdoor market located in Troy's Riverfront Park that runs every Sunday until Oct. 4., from 11 a.m. till 4 p.m., and features more than two dozen quality vintage clothes, vinyl records, furniture and housewares, ranging from rustic salvage to high-end Mid-Century, in addition to items by jewelers, crafters and other artists. A rotating slate of food truck vendors participate each week.

Troy Flea launched on July 19 to immediate success, earning the Metroland's "Best Flea Market" after only its first week. Due to popular demand, McEnaney has secured an indoor location for a winter Troy Flea which she will announce at a later date.
