A Taste of Albany: businesses join forces to help fight hunger, homelessless
ALBANY– Ladies and gentlemen, start your appetites! Interfaith Partnership for the Homeless (IPH) is gearing up for the 10th Annual A Taste of Albany - and it’s going to be the most fun night of the season!
The 10th annual A Taste of Albany will be held Thursday, April 30, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the NYS
Museum in Albany, presented by SEFCU. Tickets are $75 for general admission and $150 for Honorary Committee tickets. Participating restaurants, event information, and tickets are available at
www.atasteofalbany.com.
“For ten years, A Taste of Albany has brought together all the best things in this area: great restaurants, a terrific venue, and all the attendees and sponsors who generously support Interfaith Partnership for the Homeless, a most vital organization in our community,” said Michael J. Castellana, SEFCU president and CEO.
In the decade since creating A Taste of Albany, attendees and partners have raised more than $548,000 for IPH’s wide range of programs and services for homeless and low-income individuals and families.
“I’m honored to be a part of the 10th annual A Taste of Albany event,” said Chef David Gibson of Creo’ Restaurant, a participating restaurant in TOA’s culinary showcase. “Not only is it a fun evening with a great view of the Capital Region, but it’s a chance to benefit Interfaith Partnership for the Homeless, an organization I admire for their service to the community. I’m looking forward to celebrating this notable milestone with the charity, and serving some delicious eats.”
Each year, A Taste of Albany attracts 500+ guests for a night of the region’s best and newest cuisine, live and silent auctions, and more. In recent years, TOA has taken the event to the next level with popular additions including a red carpet entrance (sponsored by Capital Alliance of Young Professionals), a Wine & Dine Pull, live music from the Grand Central Station Trio, a photo booth by Pulse Entertainment, caricatures by Jeanne Benas, carousel rides, and complimentary beer and wine from Brown’s Brewing Co., C.H. Evans Brewing Albany Pump Station, Upstate Wine & Spirits and HRM Rex Goliath Wines.
