Rensselaer County Regional Chamber of Commerce Hires Membership Manager
TROY – The Rensselaer County Regional Chamber of Commerce announced the recent hire of Maureen McGuinness as membership manager.
McGuinness’ responsibilities include reaching out to prospective Chamber members, assisting with membership retention and acting as a resource for existing members. As membership manager, she also oversees the Chamber’s Ambassador Program to enhance current member relations.
“Maureen has a strong background working with Capital Region businesses and educational institutions,” said Chamber President Linda Hillman. “The Chamber represents nearly 1,100 businesses throughout the region, all of which are encouraged to leverage the Chamber to continue to develop and expand. Maureen will introduce regional businesses to the customized marketing, businesses development and networking opportunities available through membership with our Chamber, among many other member benefits.”
McGuinness brings with her 25 years of development and community relations experience. Prior to joining the Chamber, she served as family service manager at the Albany Diocesan Cemeteries, director of recruitment and advancement at the former St. Helen's School in Niskayuna, director of development for the Catholic School Office of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany, and worked as a reporter. She received various awards from the New York State Press Association and the Catholic Press Association during her time as a reporter. She is a graduate of Marist College in Poughkeepsie.
