At 7 p.m. Feb. 27, Northshire Bookstore will partner with the Saratoga Springs History Museum to host a cocktail party and book signing with author and historian Timothy Starr of Rock City Falls. The reception will take place at the historic Canfield Casino at 1 E. Congress Street.

Starr is a local historian and the author of books including “Lost Industries of Saratoga County,”  “Great Inventors of New York’s Capital District” and “Railroad Wars of New York State.”

Admission is $7 with advance reservation or $10 at the door, free for museum members. Reservations can be made by phone at 584-6920 or online at www.saratogahistory.org.
