Pioneer Bank Makes Significant Expansion of Investment Services

Hiring of four financial services professionals marks strategic investment to help Pioneer meet the needs of its growing customer base

TROY — Pioneer Bank announced today the hiring of four highly experienced professionals in the financial services industry to join the Cetera Investment Services team at Pioneer. They bring dozens of years of knowledge in investment management and advisory to Pioneer’s present and future clients.

The new investment team will provide Pioneer’s diverse clientele with personalized solutions in areas such as Retirement Income Planning, Estate Planning, Business Succession Planning, Employer Retirement Planning and Investment Advice.

Pioneer Bank’s investment services team hires are: Eli S. Rabinowitz, Financial Services Team Leader; Robert J. Kovacs, Financial Advisor; Kimberly Matzen, Financial Advisor; Joseph C. Lindner, Financial Advisor; and Nori J. Lansing, Registered Sales Assistant. The investment services representatives are registered with, and will offer securities and insurance products through, Cetera Investment Services LLC. The investment services office is located at the Troy branch, and advisors are available by appointment at all Pioneer Bank branches.

He is an active member of the Greenbush YMCA Board of Directors and a frequent volunteer for groups like the Ronald McDonald House, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Northeast Parent and Child.

Robert Kovacs has a deep knowledge of investments and financial planning across multiple practice areas stemming from nearly two decades in the financial sector, most recently as Financial Advisor & Vice President at First Niagara Investment Services.

Kimberly Matzen
Financial Advisor

Kimberly Matzen brings to the Pioneer team more than 35 years of experience at three major financial institutions, most recently at First Niagara Bank, where she served as a Financial Advisor. Her experience in the industry has touched a wide swath of the banking industry.

Joseph C. Lindner
Financial Advisor

Joseph Lindner has a decade of finance experience in the Albany market, having most recently served as a Financial Advisor and Personal Financial Associate at First Niagara Bank.

Nori J. Lansing
Registered Sales Assistant

Nori Lansing has held a wide variety of roles in the financial industry in the Capital Region and the Hudson Valley, including as a Vice President at HSBC Bank and most recently as a Financial Services Sales Assistant at First Niagara Bank, where she worked intimately with Financial Advisors across the company.
