Navy Veteran Joins IntegraOptics Engineering Team

LATHAM>> IntegraOptics, Inc., the nation’s fastest-growing fiber optics networking components provider and the #2 fastest-growing company in New York State’s Capital Region, today announced that Jon Zatlokowicz has been named sales engineer.
The U.S. Navy veteran most recently served as environmental health and safety (EHS) officer for several projects administered by the U.S. Department of Energy Naval Reactors Laboratory Field Office.
In his new position at IntegraOptics, Zatlokowicz will provide pre- and post-sales support to clients. He will develop and deliver product demos, and serve as a technical resource working closely with the sales team in support of customers throughout the pre-sales, commissioning, and post-sales processes.

"Jon has quite extensive technical expertise and will leverage that knowledge in expanding our brand awareness and achieving high-quality team results," IntegraOptics President & CEO David J. Prescott said. “His intimate insights into the systems challenges clients deal with every day will be key in delivering fast solutions that are customized to be the most effective and efficient for each customer." 

A three-time winner of The Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Zatlokowicz spent 23 years in the U.S. Navy before retiring in 2014. He was also awarded The Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal on five separate occasions. Trained as a nuclear reactor electrician, he initially served aboard the Ohio class submarine USS Pennsylvania as a nuclear operator and supervisor. Subsequently, he was commissioned an officer and served aboard the Nimitz class aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman, where he was nuclear prototype student trainer, then electrical division manager in charge of 120 electricians.

A resident of Glenville, N.Y., Zatlokowicz has a bachelor's degree in human resources from New York City's New School University. He earned an MBA in project management from Columbia Southern University, Orange Beach, Ala. He also has OSHA and New York State environmental certifications.
